Additional Information

Upper Division Transfer Requirements

Students must have 60 or more semester credits (90 quarter units) of transferable courses

Students must achieve the established minimum GPA of a 2.00

Complete at least 30 semester credits (45 quarter units) of general education courses with a grade of C or better

Complete with a C or better the four-courses most commonly called "Golden Four":

  • English Composition
  • Speech/Oral Communication
  • Critical Thinking
  • College level Mathematics course (with intermediate algebra as a prerequisite)
  • Students must be in "good standing" at their current or last college/university

Lower Division Transfer Requirements*

Students must meet the same admissions requirements as first-time freshmen

Students must achieve the established minimum GPA of a 2.00

Students must be in "good standing" at their current or last college/university

*Cal State Monterey Bay is currently not accepting lower division transfer students. You must meet the upper division requirements for admissions purposes.
